brrrrrrr

Well the clocks sprung forward on Saturday night heralding in "British Summer Time" and we are basting the in glorious sunshine and cool breezes ....... NOT! It is blooming freezing out there at the mo.

But hey I am not to unhappy as school has now finished for the Easter holidays - yippee!

I was feeling a little bit unsure whether to blog another Christmas card I have made for March's 25th Challenge over on Bubbly Funk as it features three snowmen but with the current weather conditions they will fit in quite well. So here they are.

The same stamp as I blogged last time but the background has had sequins and zoomz attached.

Thanks for looking and please leave a comment so I can visit your blog in return. Bye!

Last minute Minnie

Opps I've done it again ....... no sorry not the Britney song haha but I forgot about my Christmas cards for the 25th Club over on Bubbly Funk forum.

Kaz's challenge this month and the theme is Snowman/men and sparkle.

Well here are my two cards. There is sparkle there if you look closely, I used Stickles on the red card and Silver Sakura Stardust pen on the green card.

I do plan to make some more with snowmen on while I'm on half term but more of that another time.

Have a pleasant Sunday. x

Spring Inchies

I am today going to show you my inchies I have made for the March Inchie swap over on Bubbly Funk Forum. The theme was spring. I did think of putting actual springs on the inchies but then decided against it. haha

Stumped as to what else I could do I Googled spring and searched images and found a painting by Susan Hazard entitled "Spring Poppies" 2005.

ah ha I thought and reached for my Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers. I used the colour Gold for the background and the poppies themselves are Purple Twilight, Sunshine Yellow, Pink Sherbet, Watermelon with Pitch Black centres and Citrus leaves. Don't these all have wonderful names?

I can't wait to see what I receive in the swap. It is always surprising how people interpret a prompt or theme.

Thanks for stopping by. x

Watch this space - I'll let you know how I get on.

Happy Birthday Sis!

Today is my eldest sisters *cough, cough* birthday haha!

Hope the card arrived on time? Happy Birthday Lynn.

Here it is
I'm getting some use out of that Heidi Swapp stamp this month lol and some more plonking of gems on this one too! Yes and distress ink pads :)

That's My Boy!

It was Kristian's 14th birthday on Thursday but we didn't get round to the cake cutting and eating until tonight so I thought I would blog a photo to prolong the celebrations.

The cake was very delicious, Kris chose it himself in Asda this afternoon. The photo doesn't show the decoration on top very well as the light from the candles is making too much glare! haha. But there were stars and presents on top hidden under the 14 candles.

This is another March birthday card nearly over for this month - thankfully I don't have many for April - phew! The letters are cut using the Robo and Underground font. Inking is Broken China and Stormy Sky Distress Ink Pads.

* thanks for stopping bye *

Oranges and Lemons

Another birthday card - phew! When will March come to an end? lol

This time for a work colleague.

Papers by Bo Bunny and a Heidi Swapp stamp plus the odd bit of doodling!

:)

The roll continues

As Kaz commented yesterday I do seem to be on a roll at the moment haha - it is because March is crammed with loads of birthdays, anniversaries and then Mother's Day!

Well tonight I have uploaded a photo of my neice's birthday card. It is also Kris' 14th birthday today too but I haven't photographed his card yet.

This using up all my old supplies is turning up some right lovely stuff! I found two 12 x 12 sheets of this beautiful Hambly Screenprints paper and loved the colour and shimmer. The flowers cut on the Robo and inked with Spiced Marmalade Distress Pad Inks and over stamped with a patterned stamp and then a gorgeous gem plonked in the middle. The lettering was also Robo cut using I Love Derwent font.

x Thanks for leaving a comment x

another of those buses!

Thought I would blog another card - this one was for a work colleague.

I've used distress inks and the photo stamp I can't remember what company it's from or the stamps' name. Two of the other stamps are T!m Holtz and the swirl is Basic Grey (I think). The card is made from Cosmo Cricket papers.

- Thank you for visiting -

From the Heart

Birthdays are like buses aren't they? None for ages then, they all come along together - haha!

March is a particularly busy month on the old birthday card making front. No sooner have I made one card then I need to come up with an idea for another one. lol

So here is one I made earlier ........ (always wanted to say that!) hahaha

This is my Mother In Law's birthday card.

Papers are from Dream Street Papers. I forgot I had them and I can't remember where I could have bought them from either - I don't really have too much stuff you know *cough cough* hahaha.

Some distress inking round the edges and some gems from Basic Grey and then a bit of doodling and Bob's your uncle or brother in my case! tee hee.

x x Thanks for stopping bye - x x

Mothering Sunday

Thought I would blog the two Mother's Day cards I made last night for my Mum and Mum In Law.

My mum's first and I was glad she was out of hospital today too. Lots of love Mum x x
The second one is for my Mum In Law just a day or two after her birthday, two celebrations in so many days. Love to you too.

Thanks for dropping bye.

February's Diary Pages

Hello everyone. A beautiful but cold sunny day here so I decided to take advantage of it and photograph my February pages outside. As you might be aware of I am taking part in the 2010 365 Calendar Challenge that the lovely Kate has introduced me to pop over to her blog and see some of her exquiste creations.

Here are my pages -

I don't decorate my pages in advance for the month with a colour scheme or stamped images, I prefer to 'go with the flow' I decorate according to my mood and use items lying around my desk as they are available.

I also don't correct my mistakes. I must say I am not particularly fond on the way the word February has turned out but nevermind we all make mistakes from time to time don't we?

Enjoy your Sunday.

How Much is That Doggie in the Window?

Being World Book Day yesterday the whole of my school dressed as book characters even the teachers and support staff joined in. As we are a large TA group we decided to go for a theme and chose the book, '101 Dalmations' by Dodie Smith to base our characters on. I then became 'Freckles' for the day. haha

Please note that Adirondack Paint Dabbers 'Pitch Black' are great for making Dalmation spots. Have a great weekend everyone!

A spring birthday card

Still battling with the boards lol but birthdays don't stop coming do they? This card was adapted by one I saw on Kristina Werner's blog (20th February 2010) - as I didn't have a bird or balloon stamp I used the frog instead.
Isn't he a cheery chap?

Tuesday 2 March 2010

Hello all!

I haven't blogged in a while and thought I had better come and update you on my creating. Well at school it has been busy, busy, busy. As part of my Teaching Assistant duties I am responsible for the 12 (yes 12!) display boards in the main corridor and they all need changing by Friday. eek!

Thought I would show you one that has been done already. I don't admit to being an artist or be capable of drawing so please excuse the badly proportioned Pied Piper. hahaha

Please will you also note the use of the Craft Robo for the lettering. See I have mastered single letters. Haha

I hope to be back blogging again very very soon. x
